Admission

Students seeking admission to various Diploma courses will have to fill in the prescribed application form attached with this info-Brochure.

Admission Procedure

The Application Forms can be obtained from the office of the Principal, Royal Polytechnic College or Sub-Centre of the College in various Districts on any working day from 10.30 AM to 3.30PM.

Application Forms must be accompanied with following enclosures:

i)Attested copies of marks sheets of the qualifying examinations;
ii)Attested copy of the school leaving certificate the candidate has last attended;
iii)Attested copy of character certificate from the Head of the Institution (School/College) last attended;
iv)One attested copy of the latest photograph to be affixed on the application form and four unattested copies of the photograph to be submitted along with application form;
v)The students belonging to reserved categories must produce the requisite certificate issued by the competent authority;
vi)An undertaking from the student as well as parents/guardian on an affidavit duly attested by the first Class Magistrate;
vii)One attested copy of domicile certificate issued by competent authority.

Selection Procedure

Selection of the candidates is made on merit secured in qualifying examination conducted by JK Board of Technical Education or marks secured in matric and 10+2 examinations. The leftover seats may be filled by the JK Board of Technical Education or by the Institute itself as may be directed by the Government.

The selection of candidates for management quota is purely based on merit secured in the qualifying examination.

Enrollment Procedure

Selected candidates will have to pay the fee has prescribed by Government, within stipulated time prescribed by JKBOTE through Bank Draft in favour of "Director, Royal Polytechnic College" payable at Srinagar or by cash in the office of the Institute. If the fee is not paid within the specified period, the admission of such candidate will be cancelled and the same seat will be given to the next aspirant. Candidates selected against management quota will also have to pay the fee, prescribed within six days by remitting a Bank Draft in favour "Director, Royal Polytechnic College", payable at Srinagar or by cash in the office of the Institute or at Sub-centre authorized by the Director, Royal Polytechnic College.

The management of the college reserves the right to admit or refuse the admission to any candidate without assigning any reason. The decision will be final and binding on the applicants.
